Privacy Policy

In short

ANU Subs stores your subscriptions on your iPhone. If you use iCloud Backup, they’re part of your own backup with Apple. There’s no account and no server of ours. We never see your subscription data. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics tools.

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

2. The ANU Subs app

2.1 Your subscriptions

Everything you enter in the app (subscriptions, prices and price history, deadlines, spaces, notes, customer or contract numbers and provider addresses, as well as your name and address for cancellation letters) is stored locally on your iPhone. We have no access to it. There’s no user account and no transfer to a server of ours.

If iCloud Backup is turned on on your iPhone, your subscriptions are part of that backup. This backup is stored in your own iCloud account with Apple. We have no access to it. Apple’s privacy policy applies to iCloud Backup.

If you delete the app, your subscriptions are deleted from your iPhone.

2.2 Reminders

Reminders about cancellation deadlines are local notifications. Your iPhone creates them itself. No data is sent to us or to third parties for this.

2.3 Backup and export

You create backups (JSON), exports (CSV), calendar dates (.ics) and cancellation letters yourself. You decide where to save the files or who to send them to. We don’t receive them.

2.4 Company logos

The company logos are built into the app. To show them, the app loads nothing from the internet and sends no data to third parties.

2.5 App Store and purchases

The app is offered through Apple’s App Store. The download and the ANU Subs Pro subscription (purchase, renewal and cancellation) are handled entirely by Apple. We receive no payment data and no information that identifies you personally. Apple provides us with aggregated statistics (e.g. number of downloads) and, if you’ve agreed to this in your iPhone settings, crash reports without your name. 3. This website

3.1 Hosting

This website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., USA. When you visit it, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and information about your browser and device. This is needed to deliver the site securely and reliably.

Cloudflare is certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The Swiss Federal Council recognises an adequate level of data protection for companies certified in this way.

3.2 No cookies, no tracking

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising tools and loads no content from other providers (not even fonts).

4. Contact by email

When you email us, we process your details (e.g. name, email address, content) to answer your request. We delete the messages as soon as they’re no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. If you write to us via “Support” in the app, the email also contains the app version, the iOS version and the app language, but no subscription data.

For our email we use Microsoft 365, booked through GoDaddy (GoDaddy Operating Company, LLC, USA). Messages are stored on Microsoft servers and are first checked by a spam filter used by GoDaddy. Data may be transferred to the USA in the process. GoDaddy and Microsoft are certified under the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The Swiss Federal Council recognises an adequate level of data protection for companies certified in this way.

5. Sharing

We don’t sell data and don’t share it for advertising purposes. Data only goes to the service providers named above, as far as necessary for the respective purpose.

6. Your rights

You can ask at any time whether and which personal data we process about you. You can ask for incorrect data to be corrected or for data to be deleted, and you can object to processing. Just write to us at info@anusubs.app.

7. Changes

We update this privacy policy when the app, the website or the law changes. The current version on this page applies.
